Tips for faster verification

1

Photograph flat, well-lit, uncropped. Place documents on a flat surface with good light, and make sure all four corners are in the frame.

2

Send the PDF bank statements not screenshots. Download statements directly from your banking app so all six months are included and every page is legible.

3

Label each file clearly. Name files with your surname and the document type for example, "Mokoena-ID.pdf" or "Mokoena-Payslip-Jan.pdf".

4

Send everything in one message. Bundle all three documents in a single WhatsApp or email thread so we can process them together.

Common reasons for document rejection

Blurry or unreadable text and numbers must be clear.

Cropped corners the whole document must be visible.

Missing months bank statements must cover 6 continuous months.

Expired ID renew before applying.

Wrong account statements must be your primary salary account.

Altered documents any tampering ends the application.

Quick answers

Do you need certified copies?

For most loans, clear photos or digital copies are enough. Certified copies may occasionally be requested for specific verifications we'll tell you upfront if that applies.

Can I submit documents from a joint account?

Yes, provided your name appears on the statements and the income deposit is clearly visible. We may also ask for the other account holder's consent or additional verification.

How long do you keep my documents?

Enquiries that don't result in a loan: up to 12 months. Credit agreements: at least 5 years after settlement, as required by the NCA. See the Privacy Policy for full retention periods.

What if my documents are in a different name or language?

Documents must be in your legal name. If they're in a language other than English or Afrikaans, you may need to provide a sworn translation. Talk to us first so we can advise.
